We are studying interactions between sensory systems in zebrafish. In part, we've been inferring the evolution of sensory and social behavior by measuring differences among wild populations of zebrafish in India. Recently, we've also been studying resilience by measuring when and how zebrafish compensate for sensory deficits created by climate change and pollutants (e.g., BPA, cadmium) by switching their reliance on particular sensory modalities.
